| Do NOT Book an Event at Captain A.V. Nickels Inn!! |
| My wedding reception was held at Captain A.V. Nickels Inn with Sherri Hanson as my "wedding coordinator". The planning process was frustrating because I could not get in touch with Sherri herself. Instead, I received email responses via her assistant who does not have planning experience. I met with Sherri once twice (once to book the event) and at those meetings was promised beautiful food with unique presentation. I was also instructed not to meet with her again until 2 WEEKS before my wedding. At that meeting, we simply review the notes. I never saw possible table linens, centerpieces, flowers or tasted any food. As a result, everything about the reception, with the exception of the flowers, looked cheap and there certainly was not a unique presentation. My guests were forced to eat from PLASTIC bowls and PLASTIC utensils. My fork actually broke off on a piece of pork...pork that I never ordered. It was substituted for a crab stuffed clam shell without my knowledge. When we confronted Sherri Hanson about the service, she made me feel like it was my fault for not being clear enough with her. During that meeting, she did not even know my first name. DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING THERE!! |
